US-Japan Networking Night with Japan Global Initiative

US-Japan Networking Night
with Japan Global Initiative

The Japan-America Society of Washington DC was delighted to host our US-Japan Networking Night with Japan Global Initiative (JGI) on Friday, September 18.  Many of our guest enjoyed themselves meeting new people and discussing cross-cultural communication with the students from JGI.  Mr. Watanuki, the President of JGI, explained to attendees how important it is for everyone, not just Japanese college students, to learn about the world and get out of your safe environments to meet new people.

The next day the JGI students boarded a plane to return to Japan after a successful three weeks of meeting with U.S. government, NGO and business leaders in Washington, DC. Mr. Watanuki plans to return to Washington, DC in the spring with more students participating on the JGI program.
