JASW's 29th Annual Dinner & Silent Auction

Now in its 29th year, JASW's Annual Dinner is the highlight of JASW's fundraising activities. This year, over 200 guests gathered in the ballroom at the Park Hyatt Washington to honor the recipients of the 2015 Marshall Green Award, the Honorable Yasuhiro Nakasone and the Honorable Wendy Cutler, and in support of JASW's programs, which maintain and strengthen the ties between Americans and Japanese.

The night began with a silent auction, where 140 items were available to bid on. These items ranged from small Japanese pottery items like bowls and tea cups to special items like framed woodblock prints, glass-enclosed traditional Japanese dolls and even a pair of business class tickets good for a round-trip visit to Japan. After the auction, guests were treated to dinner and speeches from Ambassador Kenichiro Sasae and the special guest speaker, Congressman Joaquin Castro.

The night was a huge success, and JASW would like to once again thank everyone who came to the dinner. We hope to see you next year!
